Originaire de Long Island, Keith Murray est un célèbre rappeur américain. Il enregistre son premier single, The Most Beautiful Thing In This World, en 1994 avec Erick Sermon (EPMD). Son album au même titre paraît l'année suivante. Le succès étant toujours au rendez-vous, Keith Murray continue et sort dans la foulée les opus Enigma en 1996 et It's A Beautiful Thing trois ans plus tard.
