Artiste de Oakland à la discographie impressionante, sort son premier cd en 1983. Il monte avec Freddy B son label : Dangerous Musik.
Il fait parti du groupe The Dangerous Crew et il est à l'origine de la découverte du rappeur Spice 1. Il parle de cul dans 95% de ses tracks, il a eu aussi un beef avec l'autre pimp d'Oakland Dru Down et The Luniz.
Il a aussi sorti plusieurs mixtapes et Best Of et Greatest Hirs. Son nouvel album est prévu pour le 4 Décembre sur Jive Records et devrait s'appeler Get Off The Stage.

Pour moi son best album est "Get In Where You Fit In" je trouve qu'il apporte une atmosphère qui n'est pas comme sur ses autres albums. Même si le reste est aussi exellent dont Cocktails & Gettin' It.

moi j'avais bien kiffé coktails et chase the cat(rien a jeter sur cet album),mais pour entendre des sons bien g-funk du short dog je crois qu'on peut rever ,son dernier album en est la preuve j'ai ecouté que 1 son dessus sa me donne meme pas envie d'ecouter le reste

Oué bin c'est à l'image du rap commercial de maintenant. C'est clair que les sons g-funk d'avant c'est un autre style de musique
